About the author:

Karla Goodwin is the talented baker behind the boutique Auckland cake business Bluebells Cakery. She learned her craft while living in London where she worked in one of the UK’s most prestigious cupcake bakeries, Primrose Bakery. When she returned to New Zealand in 2011, Karla started selling at a weekend market, but soon opened her own cafe which quickly grew into a seven-day a week business. There are currently cafes in Kingsland, Hillsborough and Commercial Bay in the central city, plus a very successful online business. Her delicious, traditional recipes and eye for beautiful decoration and delightful presentation have earned her a great reputation.
