The Goodness Algorithm: Evolutionary Dystopia
Synopsis
Humankind brought Earth to the brink of destruction. It's 2144 and life has changed for the better - or has it? The ruling Council prioritised restoration of the ecosystem and sharing resources fairly. Based on 20th Century longitudinal research, the Council introduced the Goodness Algorithm to manage the five per cent of humans who cause societal problems. Julia is a leading genetic scientist who notices a change in the behaviour and intelligence of children. They are evolving rapidly. The Quality Control Bureau (QCB) appears to terminate Chinta Katone as an imperfect child, but someone has abducted her under impossible conditions and sinister circumstances. During his test, Julia's son Ilya breaks the Algorithm, redefining it, and Julia's theory on accelerating evolution is confirmed. Departments want to study Ilya he becomes a person of interest and so does his baby sister. Ilya's family joins forces to protect his childhood rights. When Ilya vanishes, his disappearance causes a chain of events that will challenge the world order, belief systems and history. On a secluded island in the Pacific, The Council rules from the city of Nirvana. The everyday life of the masses couldn't be more different to existence in the seat of power, where tasks are orchestrated to the Council's plan for their benefit. Their lives are selfish, long, boring, and corrupt. Evolved Beings arrive stealthily, communicating in silence - harbingers of change.
