reFRAMED
Synopsis
reFRAMED is a collection of photographs taken in New Zealand and overseas. The images
reflect an obsession with colour, light and form, and a search for juxtaposition and humour in the commonplace.
The six chapters are grouped thematically and underpinned by the concept of reframing. Seeing things in a new way involves bypassing the mind's default settings to create fresh perspectives. For me, it comes down to being playful and inquisitive, and embracing failure. The camera inspires me to reframe my immediate surroundings; to replace complacency with curiosity and engagement.
