The boys are back!

After a few months recuperating from gun battles, abductions and daring rescues; the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Squad is shouted a road trip by New Zealand Police for their past courageous efforts tackling kidnapping mercenaries, Russian gangsters and a South American drug Cartel.

While on their all-expenses paid tour to scenic Queenstown in New Zealand's South Island, Superintendent Mosley has a simple request; investigate a retirement village in Christchurch along the way. What could possibly go wrong?

As their journey begins, retired NZSAS Captain, Jesse Hunter, and his squad, are targeted by Russians who have a score to settle, and an elusive Colombian hit man who has several people on his list; including the squad.

Along the way are high speed car chases, abductions, daring rescues, weak hearts that find strength and hardened hearts redemption, casinos, strip clubs, diamonds and death. Their simple Tour Off Duty becomes a running battle to stay one step ahead of vengeance seeking killers and where enjoying the scenery is a luxury that could kill.

Can pure grit, humour and guts keep these senior aged soldiers alive long enough to finish their tour?

Lee Dixon was born in Tauranga and schooled in Wellington and Whanganui. He has also lived in New Plymouth and worked as a journalist, photographer, and editor for The Midweek Newspaper - the weekly community paper published by the Whanganui Chronicle. Lee has worked mostly within the building trades since 1976 as a self-employed contractor, and as a truck driver based in the Texas Panhandle. Retraining as a freelance journalist in the 1990s, he spent several years in the media industry before returning to trade work in 2001. A keen motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoys experimenting with various art forms and has a lifelong love of music. Lee has five adult children, ten grandchildren, and lives in Nelson, New Zealand, with his wife Maxine.
