Beneath Our Feet

Alfie watches as the city he calls home crumbles in the Christchurch earthquake. From this tragedy, he gets a second chance at life; a heart transplant that links him forever to one of the victims. Dani's diagnosis is grim. She's already survived cancer once, but knows there's no escaping it this time. She refuses to suffer like her mother did, or put her father through that again. When Alfie and Dani meet, she takes him into Christchurch's sealed-off cordon-where they discover a world beyond anything they could have imagined, a world where time stops.
