David is a New Zealand teacher and children's author. His wife, Lauano Debbie, is Samoan-Tongan, from Leauva'a, the same village as Brian! David grew up playing rugby league with his younger brothers in Mangere, South Auckland. His favourite teams are the Manukau Magpies, the Warriors, Queensland and the Kiwis.
Chad is a Kiwi illustrator with Samoan-Niuean heritage. As a child, he played rugby league for the Otara Scorpions and Otahuhu Leopards. He loves watching Toa Samoa games with his family.
