Rebecca Macfie is an acclaimed New Zealand journalist and award-winning author. Her work includes Tragedy at Pike River Mine (Awa Press, 2013) and Helen Kelly: Her Life (Awa Press, 2021). She has written widely on business, labour, the environment and inequality for publications such as the New Zealand Listener, North & South, and the New Zealand Herald. In 2024, she was the JD Stout Research Fellow at the Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies, Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington.
