Mila’s Books has been shortlisted for the Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year (BOP) 2025, highlighting its impact in championing Pasifika storytelling on the world stage.

The BOP - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year is awarded annually to highlight excellent publishing houses from all over the world. This year's Oceania shortlistees are: Affirm Press (Australia) Five Mile Press (Australia) Fremantle Press (Australia) Hardie Grant Children's Publishing (Australia) Mila's Books (Aotearoa New Zealand).
Mila's Books says, 'This global recognition celebrates publishers who have made a significant impact in children’s literature, and to be named among the best in the world at such a prestigious event is a milestone we could only have dreamed of.

The announcement of the winners will be held during BCBF, 31 March - 3 April 2025.
