Lucy Parker lives in the gorgeous Central Otago region of New Zealand, where she feels lucky every day to look out at mountains, lakes, and vineyards. She has a degree in Art History, loves museums and art galleries, and doodles unrecognizable flowers when she has writer’s block.
Christopher was born in Takapuna, a seaside suburb in Auckland, New Zealand, where he currently lives with his daughter. Having loved writing stories growing up, it was a walk along Takapuna beach and a chance glimpse at a distant lighthouse that made him want to revisit his childhood passion and try his hand at producing a novel. Nearly ten years on from that fateful stroll, he is proud to finally share his story. The Lighthouse is Christopher’s first novel.
KATE PARKER of Ngati Maniapoto, English and Greek descent, grew up roaming the bush and riding horses in Kaeo. She studied theatre in Melbourne. Returning to co-found NZ's Red Leap Theatre. She is currently a visual artist and theatre maker and lives in West Auckland, with her family. She enjoys watching wildlife, being near the forest and the sea and finding ways to support our planet. Wendy Parkins was born in Sydney and grew up on the north coast of New South Wales, in Gumbaynggirr country. After studying at the University of Sydney, she began her academic career in Perth before going on to positions at universities in New Zealand and the UK, where she was Professor of Victorian Literature at the University of Kent. Her memoir, Every Morning, So Far, I'm Alive, was published in 2019. She lives in Ōtepoti/Dunedin.
Robyn L Parkinson is a former local government politician and current Lego AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego). She is undertaking postgraduate study in Public Health, focussing on the lifelong impact of childhood trauma. Weekly psychotherapy continues.
Renowned naturalist, author and former broadcaster, Brian Parkinson is the author of many books including Field Guide to New Zealand Seabirds and The Photographic Guide to Insects of New Zealand published by New Holland and now distributed as a White Cloud Book through Upstart Distribution. Brought up in the Bay of Plenty, Parkinson now lives in Auckland and has toured New Zealand extensively.
