Jane Catherine Severn is a Psychotherapist, Educator and Writer, based in Christchurch. Over 45 years she has researched and developed an original and comprehensive body of knowledge about women's hormonal design and development. As founder and facilitator of Luna House, she teaches a radically new and empowering approach to Menarche, Menstrual Cycles, Menopause and Mature Life via workshops, seminars and courses available nationwide and internationally. She also offers therapeutic consultations in her pioneering modality, Femenome Therapy, and is writing a series of books detailing her discoveries.

Bariz Shah arrived in New Zealand from Pakistan in 2001 after his family were forced to leave war-torn Afghanistan in the 1980s. He went on to complete an engineering degree from the University of Canterbury and became the president of the UC Muslim Students Association. After the March 2019 attacks in Christchurch, Bariz and his wife, Saba, fundraised $20,000 and travelled to Afghanistan to support fifty-one microbusinesses in Kabul and Jalalabad as a tribute to those who were matryred. He was awarded the Christchurch Civic Award for his efforts. Bariz is a qualified engineer and father to Zawrez and Aalam. He is an active Muslim community advocate and is passionate about second chances and servant leadership.

Miriam Sharland is a writer and editor focusing on creative non-fiction, travel, biography/memoir and natural history. Based in England and Aotearoa New Zealand, her essays, reviews and features have appeared in numerous books, journals, magazines and newspapers, and online. These include Reader's Digest (UK), Dark Mountain (UK), The Dominion Post, Headland and Adventure Travel. In 2021 she was awarded a writing grant from the Earle Creativity Trust and in 2022 she was runner-up in the New Zealand Society of Authors Central Districts summer essay competition. Heart Stood Still is her first book.
