Steve Reid is the author of a number of popular motoring books, including Veteran Cars: Amazing New Zealand Collections, and its companion volumes Kiwi Vintage Car Collections and Vintage Trucks and Commercials, along with VWs Downunder. Steve is also a regular contributor to Classic Car magazine, and lives in Blenheim.

Michael Steven is an Auckland-based poet. He was awarded a Creative New Zealand Todd New Writers Bursary in 2018, and his collection Walking to Jutland Street (OUP, 2018) was longlisted for the Mary and Peter Biggs Award For Poetry 2019. His collection The Lifers (OUP, 2020) was in the Listener Top 10 Poetry Books of 2020. Night School is Steven’s third collection of poetry.
Robert Stevens has a Masters Degree in Agricultural Science and has worked for over 30 years in Agriculture in NZ. He has travelled extensively. Retrained as a secondary school teacher about 12 years ago (science and maths) which gave great insight into the long term impact of child rearing: one theme in the story -
