Chelsea Winter is the bestselling author of five cookbooks.- Eat, Scrumptious, Homemade Happiness, Everyday Delicious and At My Table, and an all-round lover of good food. Chelsea was the winner of MasterChef New Zealand's third season and is always looking for new and inventive ways to inspire home cooks. Iona Winter (Waitaha/Kai Tahu) is a poet, essayist, storyteller and editor. She has three published collections; then the wind came (2018), Te Hau Kaika (2019), Gaps in the Light (2021), and was creator, editor and publisher of the Elixir & Star Press Grief Almanac 'a liminal gathering' (2023). In 2022, Iona was awarded the CLNZ/NZSA Writers' Award to complete 'A Counter of Moons', a creative non-fiction book addressing the complexities of suicide bereavement. She founded Elixir & Star Press in 2023, as a dedicated space for the expression of grief in New Zealand, in memory of her late son and musician Reuben Winter. The inaugural publication 'a liminal gathering', was launched in November 2023, with over 100 multimedia artistic responses to grief. Iona holds a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, and is widely published and anthologised internationally. Skilled at voicing difficult topics, she creates work that spans genre and form. Her poetry has been performed solo and in collaboration with other multimedia artists, at numerous festivals and installations. Iona lives in the Tasman region of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Dr Rapata Wiri (Ngati Ruapani, Tuhoe, Te Arawa) is a Maori language expert. He has taught Maori language, culture, history and society in universities in New Zealand and Hawai'i for over twenty-five years. He has also worked as a historian and researcher for iwi on Treaty of Waitangi claims. In 2019, he established an online course for people to learn te reo Maori, www.reoora.com, and this now has over a thousand learners enrolled at certificate and diploma levels.

Skye Wishart (Author) Skye Wishart is a journalist with a passion for science writing. A degree in biochemistry and plant genetics led her first to work in marine research in the South Island; then, after a sojourn in science journal publishing, she turned to the written word, and has been researching and writing ever since. She is also studying for a Masters in Environmental Management, diving deep into how we can become better custodians of the natural world now and into an uncertain future.Skye lives in the Western Bay of Plenty, with her husband and young family. She loves the outdoors- particularly exploring hiking trails and ocean swimming. Edin Whitehead (Author) Edin Whitehead is a seabird scientist and conservation photographer based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her research on the behaviour and physiology of shearwaters and petrels focuses on their ability to adapt to a changing climate. Mixing science and photography, research and conservation work have taken her on adventures throughout Aotearoa, including the remote offshore island groups. She is a multi award-winning photographer, and uses visual storytelling to advocate for wildlife and wild places.
