Keith Gordon is a pioneer underwater explorer now living in Auckland. He is an International Fellow of The Explorers Club. In addition to publishing "Deep Water Gold - the story of RMS Niagara" and co-authoring "New Zealand Shipwrecks" (8th edition), he has published numerous magazine articles on maritime historical and heritage topics.

Kate Gordon-Smith spent 90% of her childhood reading books about ponies. The other 10% she spent galloping around the garden with her family's pet Beagle. Now she's penning fun adventure and mystery stories about brave friends, ponies and unicorns, and much-loved dogs. Kate is inspired by the wonderful community and magnificent mountains of Central Otago in New Zealand's South Island where she lives with her husband, their red and white collie Kenzie and rescue dog Snow, a retired racehorse called Tony, and a fluffy, demanding cat called Bob. Author and illustrator, Fiona Goulding, is an award winning artist and New Zealand’s first member of Artists for Conservation, the world’s leading artist group supporting the environment.
Ruth Parkin-Gounelas grew up in Wellington but has lived mostly in Greece. She studied English at Victoria University and Oxford University, and is now Emeritus Professor in the School of English at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. She has published in the fields of 19th and 20th century literature, women's writing and literary theory. C.-Dimitris Gounelas has a BA in Russian from Victoria University of Wellington and a doctorate in Modern Greek from King's College London. He has taught at King's College London, Sydney University, Crete University and as Associate Professor in the Department of Greek Philology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Publications have been mostly in Greek - on literature, politics and the philosophy of language.

Patricia Grace is one of New Zealand's most celebrated writers. She has published seven novels and seven short-story collections, as well as a number of books for children and works of non-fiction. Among numerous awards, her children's story The Kuia and the Spider won the Children's Picture Book of the Year and she has also won the New Zealand Book Awards For Children and Young Adults Te Kura Pounamu Award. She lives in Plimmerton. Robyn Kahukiwa (Illustrator) Robyn Kahukiwa (Ngati Porou) is a highly regarded New Zealand contemporary artist and award-winning author and illustrator of children's books. She is best known for her work drawing on Maori symbolism and mythological figures as well as for her staunch support of Maori women's rights. She has written and illustrated over a dozen books and in 2011 Kahukiwa was awarded Te Tohu Toi Kē a Te Waka Toi/Making a Difference Award for her contribution to Maori arts. Hirini (Syd) Melbourne (Translator) Hirini Melbourne (1949-2003) of Ngai Tūhoe and Ngati Kahungunu was an internationally acclaimed performing artist and composer, and a tohunga of making and playing traditional Maori instruments. He was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2003 for services to Maori language, music and culture and posthumously inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame in 2009.
