Pat started to renew his love of drawing after two brain surgeries. Starting out initially his drawings could be described as "hopeful" at best. As time progressed,so too did his ability to draw more complex drawings. He learnt through perseverance that he could create new neuropaths in his brain. Introducing Matt... The opportunity came about with an offer to work on the book with Pat and after only a small amount of consideration I decided to jump on board and began learning about the story and the characters. Matt has added value to the journey of the creation of the Zeelows through helping with touch typing of the story line and is responsible for marketing and promotion through performances.
Glennis Mafi (MB ChB, FRNZCGP) was a doctor for 45 years, most of them in general practice in Tonga and Auckland. She retired in November 2019. She has both academic and personal experience of dementia, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatrics and helping to care for her father through his dementia. She is married to Manu and they have four married children and twelve grandchildren.

Bruce Mahalski is a Dunedin artist, known for his illustration, street murals, and sculpture incorporating animal bones. He is founder and director of the Dunedin Museum of Natural Mystery, a private museum of natural history and ethnographic objects and curios.

Kate Mahony is a writer of short stories and flash fiction with an MA in Creative writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University of Wellington. Her work has been published in anthologies and literary journals internationally and in New Zealand. Her short fiction has been shortlisted and longlisted in international and national competitions. She has previously worked as a journalist in both London and New Zealand, and in communications roles. She grew up in Taranaki where her novel Secrets of the Land is set. She lives in Wellington.
Margaret Mahy (Author) Margaret Mahy (1936-2012) is one of New Zealand's most celebrated children's writers. She is the author of more than 150 titles, which have been translated into many different languages and sold around the world. Appointed to the Order of New Zealand in 1993, Mahy also won many global prizes for children's writers, including the Carnegie Medal and the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award. LOUISE MAICH'S research into writing this book about her uncle Frank Erceg has, in turn, led to her contributing numerous articles to New Zealand Outdoor Hunting magazine and the New Zealand Deer Cullers Inc. newsletter. Louise has garnered several awards and recognition for her writing and, during the process of this book, established the Frank Erceg Project Blog. Louise has previously composed songs and poems whilst exploring and reclaiming her Dalmatian heritage and history - transforming these into powerful performance art. Her ongoing passion for writing has led to her current penning of both fiction and non-fiction works. She was born in Christchurch and currently resides with her life partner in the Auckland Waitakere ranges. This is her first book.
