Peter (Pete) Majendie is an installation artist who has exhibited in New Zealand and overseas. His best-known work is his 185 Empty White Chairs installation, which honours the people who died in the Christchurch earthquake of 22 February 2011. Pete has also exhibited work in a variety of other media over the years and written and performed one-man comedy shows in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. Born and raised in New Brighton, he has lived in Christchurch all his life. Married to Joyce for fifty years, he enjoys spending time with his three children and six grandchildren and is a member of the International Guild of Tea Liturgists.

Tina Makereti is a fiction writer. She has also been recognized for her non-fiction, winning the Royal Society of New Zealand Manhire Prize for Creative Science Writing (Non-fiction) in 2009. Makereti holds a PhD from the International Institute of Modern Letters. She has twice won the Fiction award at the Ngā Kupu Ora Māori Book Awards, first in 2011 for her short story collection Once Upon a Time in Aotearoa (2010), and again in 2014 for her debut novel Where the Rekohu Bone Sings (2014). Renisa Viraj Maki is a Kiwi-Indian leadership consultant and artist who is dedicated to writing stories that reflect cultural diversity. She lives in Auckland. Nikki Slade Robinson is an award-winning illustrator and author who has published numerous children's books internationally; she lives in Opotiki. Kanapu Rangitauira (Te Arawa, Ngati Porou, Te Whakatohea) is a registered translator and teacher of te reo. He lives in Rotoiti, Rotorua.

Mani Malaeulu is the co-author of the award winning YA title, Tama Samoa. He is also the director of Empowerment Training Ltd., which provides leadership and wellbeing services to businesses, organisations and high schools. As a facilitator and motivational speaker, Mani is passionate about personal development and empowering others personally and professionally.
Dahlia Malaeulu is an award-winning author and publisher of Mila’s Books, the only all Pasifika publishing company of children's books in the world. A proud Samoan New Zealander who has connections to the villages of Sinamoga, Vaivase tai, Faleatiu, Fagaloa and Aleisa in Sāmoa, Dahlia is passionate about the power of Pasifika stories. She is also a strong advocate for creating culturally safe and supported pathways for Pasifika authors and publishers in Aotearoa. Dahlia was the recipient of the NZ Emerging Publisher of the Year in 2023 and here she shares some advice for new and emerging Pasifika storytellers and Publishers.
