Danni is a Wellington based zookeeper and conservationist with a passion for connecting children with animals and the environment. She has worked in Australia, New Zealand and Madagascar and wants to use her experience to inspire conservation connections through her engaging and educational animal adventure stories. When she isn't working, Danni can be found writing, reading, hiking and traveling! Evan Heasman (also known by the artist name Soju Shots) is an illustrator who takes great inspiration from nature and fairytales. He uses a combination of pen, watercolour, photography and digital mediums to create his characters and the magical worlds they come from. He works between his home in beautiful Waipu and his little studio in Whangarei.

Dr Kimiora Raerino (Ngāti Awa, Te Arawa) is Co-Chair, Te Komiti Whakahaere o Te Kotahi a Tāmaki, and marae member for Mataatua Marae, Tāmaki Makaurau. She is a researcher at Whariki Research Centre and has written on a variety of topics, with her research focusing on the role of urban marae for the wellbeing of Māori.

Michelle Rahurahu (Ngāti Rahurahu, Ngāti Tahu-Ngāti Whaoa) is a writer who was raised by tāngata turi. She is a co-editor of Te Rito o te Harakeke, an anthology of Māori voices for Ihumātao. She has a Masters in Creative Writing from the IIML where she won the Modern Letters Fiction Prize, and was shortlisted for the Michael Gifkins Prize for Poorhara.

Michael Van de Elzen is one of New Zealand's most loved chefs, having starred in a number of television shows. He is passionate about healthy food and opened the Good From Scratch Cookery School on his lifestyle block on Muriwai in 2020. Ganesh Raj is a multi-award winning restaurateur and food education advocate with his own show 'The Humble Yum Yum' on YouTube and TVNZ OnDemand. With a television career that spans three decades and three continents, he continues to bring his own brand of entertainment to NZ screens.
